Salvus Center, Inc. operates like a doctor’s office for uninsured patients. They offer examinations, x-rays, and laboratory tests. The staff includes a full time doctor as well as doctors who donate their time to the clinic. The clinic is open during hours that are convenient to most people’s schedules.
Because of the high cost of most doctor’s visits, the uninsured do not have access to ongoing healthcare. This group often depends on emergency rooms in area hospitals for primary care. This is a costly and ineffective means of healthcare. Because uninsured individuals lack a personal physician relationship, chronic illnesses go unmanaged causing severe recurrences of the disease or condition which may result in more costly treatment and care.
You can help the Salvus Center continue their mission by providing over-the-counter medications that they can administer to patients visiting the clinic. The greatest needs are for Tylenol and Motrin in both adult & children dosages.
